Over the years I have developed a few ideas that I think I should share. These are just a few of the doctrine and rules I have come to believe.
Ideology
Philosophy: Life is too important to be taken seriously.
Motto: Anything worth owning is worth modifying.
(I also think the converse, anything worth modifying is worth owning is probably also true.)
Bixel's Laws
Bixel's First Law of People: People are bored.
This sounds simple enough, but I think this is the root cause of most of the great wars and atrocities, brilliant innovations in art, literature, and science, but also the Shriners, or the Elks club. It is something to do on a Thursday night.
Bixel's First Corollary: Because of the first law, people are willing to share their lives with you.
In my travels I have run across so many people who would open their homes to me, provide me with food and company. All you have to do is give them some excuse.
Bixel's Second Law of People: Genius is a rare gift, but everyone is capable of stupidity.
From all the people I have met, I have noticed that there are only a few who are really smart. Intelligence is not even distributed over the human race. The capacity for doing something dumb however is in everyone. This is why even smart people do really idiotic things.
Theories
Coca-Cola: In any village anywhere in the world that has 500 people or more, you can buy a Coke.
